The opportunity to work with Grace Carter was introduced to the Flames Collective, with nine alumni members getting the chance to perform backing vocals at her sold-out KOKO gig in March 2024. This was a bit different to Flames’ usual gigs – they had to arrange the harmonies themselves – an empowering experience for them to take this on as more of an independent project, realising the years of training and practice these alumni members have put in.
